it's a crapAs I’ve said before I have been having some problems with ongoing fatigue. At this point I sleep 8-10 hours a night and am taking Ambien, I should be incredibly well rested but constantly feel like I pulled an all-nighter. I went to see my rheumatologist today and spoke to her about it. She said she would check my thyroid function but beyond that there was very little she could do and that there were no medications available that specifically dealt with intense fatigue. They are also checking my iron levels to check for anemia because in the past my iron level has been really low and anemia can lead to fatigue.

I personally am wondering if this is RA related or if something else is going on [fibromyalgia?]. Today my rheumy said that my joints were doing well and that I was as good as I was going to get, but at this point I still need my pain medication and am having random shocks of pain. I am not often frustrated with the way that my medical situations are handled but this really bothered me. I want to get this figured out!

  1. Hello! I wanted to let you know that I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. Don’t feel obligated to go through the acceptance steps, I realize that life gets crazy. I was more interested in sharing your blog with my readers because I love it so much. However, if you’re interested the details are here:

  2. I stay incredibly tired, even if I sleep 10-12 hours. I always feel like I could use a nap. I have been told by every doctor that I have seen that it is just part of having an autoimmune disease.
