New semester, new attitude!

Tolkein in pictures Four days into the semester and things are already getting better. In an effort to help with a financial situation I dropped a class and sold back the books and will be taking it at the community college near my parents house either this or next summer. This decision has brought me from an intimidating 17 hours down to a manageable 14. I’m really excited for most of the classes I’m taking and have already worked ahead in all but one course.

A New JAK inhibitor announced by Pfizer which is to be used instead or traditional DMARD’s [like methotrexate], the kicker is that it is ball parked to cost $25,000 a year! JAK inhibitors are a new area of treatment and to my knowledge this is the first and only JAK inhibitor currently/soon to be on the market.

The issue with my depression is slowly getting better for unknown reasons, it may have something to do with the fact that a new semester that isn’t overwhelming has started. As well as the fact that I have a new roommate, a supportive family, and a supportive boyfriend

About a week ago I developed some sort of bump/nodule on the middle joint of my middle finger that is very painful when any pressure is applied [lifting things, writing, trying to unpack]. I will go to the local GP for advice if it doesn’t resolve itself over the weekend. Then again I don’t have time for these shenanigans. NEXT WEEK IS IV WEEK. It’s the most wonderful time of the month 🙂
