Brett and I took a trip to Austin last weekend for the UT-OSU game and had a ton of fun on the way there and back! I got to see the town where he is from and meet his father and step-mom. It was a great trip all around an I’m really glad we had a chance to go together!
College is going fairly well, Tri-Delta initiation was this week! My grades are looking pretty good except in one class but the last paper I wrote for it got a 90 so things are looking up 🙂
So I started having some very intense pain in both my hands in areas in and around my joints, I emailed my rheumy (who is a god sent and replies in the same day) I’m now on a course of the NSAID Celebrax 2x a day, 10mg of prednisone, and .8 cc Methotrexate. I hear that this particular drug combination is fairly effective in other RA patients and am already feeling a little better (I’m 2 days into the treatment) hopefully this will help long-term 🙂
On another note I’m scheduled to have my Parkinson’s testing in Dallas this november, I developed some pretty impressive tremors a few moths ago (yes I know it is unlikely but both my GP and rheumy want me to get tested seeing as how my uncle has early onset Parkinson’s). So that’s fun. Brett offered to drive 5 hours to Dallas over Thanksgiving break just to hold my hand through testing, now that’s an amazing guy (just saying, major points).
