So I was looking up things about methotrexate just to see if I found any new information on it (even though I think I may have read everything even scribbled down about it at this point) well I was on this website:http://www.drugs.com/methotrexate.html and saw this
“Usual Adult Dose for Rheumatoid Arthritis:
Single dose: 7.5 mg orally weekly.
Divided dose: 2.5 mg orally every 12 hours for 3 doses once a week.
Maximum weekly dose: 20 mg.”
Well I take a shot of .8 CC which is equal to(drum roll please) about 20 mg. My Rheumatologist says she believes she can safely up my dose a few more times without harming any of my internal organs short or long term. But it makes me wonder at what point am I up a creek with MTX I hadn’t thought that maybe I was approaching the max dose, I think I just foolishly assumed they would keep upping the dose and all would be fina and dandy. It’s not really something I need to worry about now but I just found it interesting.
